The Revd Jim Robinson, revjerobinson@gmail.com
Jim has been the vicar of St Mark’s Newnham, and of the neighbouring parish of Grantchester, since September 2024. He had previously served as parish priest for a large group of rural parishes in Lincolnshire, the county of his birth. He is married to Arabella, who is the Dean and Chaplain of Selwyn College, and they have two sons, Aubrey (9) and Ivor (3). Aside from his parish ministry, about which he is deeply passionate, he is working towards a PhD, part-time, on the nineteenth century Church of England and the monarchy. He is a keen sportsman, and has played for the Archbishop of Canterbury’s cricket team. He is a lifelong supporter of Nottingham Forest Football Club, which keeps him humble.
The Revd Kennedy Emokpaire
Kennedy is married to Soraya and they have two daughters Emikhe and Ebony. He finished his training at Ridley Hall, Cambridge in 2024 and is now serving at St Mark’s as a self supporting curate, working as a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher during the week.
He has a love for the arts, his lifelong passion being contemplating theology and the spiritual life through spoken word, music, and drama. And he is grateful for those other simpler joys he finds in taking walks, playing sports and dancing.
The Revd Canon Tom Buchanan, revtbuchanan@gmail.com
Tom became a member of Ely Chapter and Honorary Canon of the cathedral in 2019. He serves St Mark’s and Grantchester Church as Associate Priest. Tom is one of the most experienced communications advisors in the UK, having set up a public relations company which advises businesses and institutions in Europe, the US, the Gulf States and Asia on how to build and protect their reputations. He is also well practiced in change management and crisis communications processes.
As Chairman of governors at the Leys School in Cambridge he is a highly experienced advisor to independent school governors and academic institutions, where he uses his expertise to offer advice on governance as well as reputation risk, and typically acts as spokesman for the school to the media.
The Revd Andrew Hurst, andrewhurst65@outlook.com
Andrew served his curacy with us at both Newnham and Grantchester and is now Associate Priest in the two parishes.
