Vicar: Revd Rachel Rosborough
Rachel Rosborough is Vicar of St Mark’s, Newnham and of St Andrew and St Mary’s, Grantchester. She joined us in July 2017 from a group of parishes in the Cotswolds. She is married to Sam and they have two children. She enjoys people, travelling, birdwatching, whiskey and pub quizzes. Rachel is also on the staff of Ridley Hall Theological College as a pastoral tutor.
Choir Director: John Wyatt
John has trained choirs for many years in and around London and still conducts Harrow Philharmonic Choir. He studied organ, piano and choral conducting at the Royal Academy of Music and until recently was Director of Music at Aldenham School in Hertfordshire. He now lives in Ely with his violinist wife, Mandy who also sings in St Mark’s choir. He is always keen to hear from singers who love to sing both the traditional and more modern styles of church music, whether they can only manage a few services in the year or on a more regular basis. If you are interested please get in touch to find out more!
Children and Families Minister: Gertine Blom
Gertine joined St Mark’s as Children and Families’ Minister in January 2019. She is a Dutch church minister who recently moved to Cambridge with her husband Eelco – previously she studied, worked and lived in the city of Utrecht (the Netherlands). She enjoys English culture and the new experiences that living in England brings her, and she likes to run and cycle. During holidays she makes hiking trips with Eelco to places that are not as flat as Cambridge. She loves to work with children because of their pureness and honesty, and is looking forward to meeting everyone who is involved in the children and families’ activities at St. Mark’s!
