The Revd Bethan Rodden, revbethanr@gmail.com. Bethan is Assistant Curate of St Mark’s, Newnham and of St Andrew and St Mary’s Grantchester. She moved to Newnham to take up the post and for her ordination in 2022 having spent the last three years training at Ripon College Cuddesdon, near Oxford. She is married to James, who works as a software engineer. Bethan has particular interests in using the outdoors, hands-on activities, creativity and storytelling in worship and learning. Other areas of interest include Fresh Expressions and Pioneer Church, reconciliation, ecumenism, and disability theology. Aside from work Bethan and James enjoy playing boardgames, cooking, baking, and travelling.
The Revd Canon Tom Buchanan, revtbuchanan@gmail.com
Tom became a member of Ely Chapter and Honorary Canon of the cathedral in 2019. He serves St Mark’s and Grantchester Church as Associate Priest. Tom is one of the most experienced communications advisors in the UK, having set up a public relations company which advises businesses and institutions in Europe, the US, the Gulf States and Asia on how to build and protect their reputations. He is also well practiced in change management and crisis communications processes.
As Chairman of governors at the Leys School in Cambridge he is a highly experienced advisor to independent school governors and academic institutions, where he uses his expertise to offer advice on governance as well as reputation risk, and typically acts as spokesman for the school to the media.
